Microneedling activates collagen, tightens skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, minimizes large pores, lightens excess pigment, and improves the appearance of scars, including those due to acne or surgery.

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin and promotes cell turnover. It helps improve the overall texture and tone of the skin. It can reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, refine rough skin, and even out pigmentation caused by age spots or sun damage.

During your treatment, one of our skilled providers will apply a numbing cream and then gently move the microneedling device over the skin, creating micro-injuries. You may experience some pressure and slight prickles. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural wound healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Following microneedling, your skin may appear red or slightly swollen, similar to a mild sunburn. These effects are temporary and usually subside within a day or two.

It may take several weeks to notice the full results. By then you will see visible improvements in texture, tone, and overall appearance with fresher, smoother and more even-looking skin. Depending on your goals and skin condition, multiple sessions, usually spaced several weeks apart, may be recommended to achieve optimal results.

I recently had a microneedling procedure done with Lamija and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'm about one mouth out from my last treatment and can definitely see a difference. Lamija was professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She even checked in on me a day after, which I greatly appreciated.

I had a Microneedling treatment for face and neck with Lamijia. The treatment itself was relatively painless and Lamijia was very thorough, empathetic and informative. Im over 50 and was pleasantly surprised how much better my skin looked after the treatment. I would highly recommend to book a treatment with Lamijia at The Confidence Bar.

Cristina is amazing. My skin has never looked better. She always does the right amount so I look natural, and I trust her completely. Would recommend 100%

Microneedling sessions are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. You also have the option to combine microneedling with PRP to help you achieve your desired results faster.

Discontinue use of Retin A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams, and other topical medications for 3-5 days before and after your microneedling treatment.

Sun exposure and/or usage of a tanning bed, including self-tanning products, must be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours and preferably one week before and after the treatment. Sun exposure will increase the risk of hypopigmentation (white spots) or hyperpigmentation (dark spots), both of which could last for several months or even permanently. A microneedling treatment will not be administered on sunburned skin.

Accutane and any other photosensitizing medication should be discontinued for a period of at least 6 months prior to receiving treatment and should not be used during your course of treatment.
You may not receive any type of chemical peel on the treatment area, 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after.
Waxing and/or use of chemical depilatories must be avoided for 2 weeks prior to and after the treatment. Shaving is allowed immediately before treatment and 48-72 hours after treatment as long as there is no skin irritation.

You may not receive a microneedling treatment if you are pregnant, lactating, taking blood thinners, if you have been treated for skin cancer in the treatment area or if you have acne or open lesions in the treatment area. Also, surgical scars must be healed for six months prior to microneedling.

If you are prone to keloid scarring, please consult your doctor before receiving a treatment.

If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend you use prophylactic antiviral therapy in the form of Valtrex® or Acyclovir before your treatment. If so, follow the directions prescribed by your doctor.

It is normal to look and feel as if you are sunburned for 1-3 days after the treatment. The severity of redness will depend on the aggressiveness of the treatment. Your skin may feel tight, dry, swollen, and sensitive to the touch. The treated area may appear darker, and the darkened skin may flake off within 1 week. Avoid picking or exfoliating the area and allow old skin to flake off naturally.

Do not wear makeup for 12 hours after your treatment.

Avoid contact with animals/pets for the first 4 hours.

Make sure your sheets and pillowcases are clean, especially on the night of your treatment.

Wash the treated area twice a day with a gentle cleanser. Use tepid water only. Apply a soothing, healing moisturizer or oil as often as needed for the first 3 days.

Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours after your treatment, and preferably for 1-2 weeks. If you know you will be outdoors and exposed to the sun (driving to work for example), wear a protective hat and apply a full spectrum sunblock of SPF 30 or higher.

Do not use exfoliating medications, chemicals, or products on the treated areas for at least 1 week.
If you are experiencing skin irritation, avoid exercise that causes sweating, as well as Jacuzzis, saunas, and steam baths.

Take Advil or Tylenol as necessary for discomfort. If desired, apply a cool compress to minimize swelling.

The night of treatment, sleep on your back with your head elevated slightly to reduce swelling.

You may notice immediate as well as longer-term improvements in your skin. For best results, we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments administered at approximately 4-6 week intervals.

You will receive an email from our team immediately after your treatment recapping these post-treatment instructions.

Please notify your provider if you have any tattoos, including cosmetic tattooing, in the vicinity of the area to be treated, as tattoos must be avoided. That includes permanent makeup and micro-blading.

Please notify your provider of any changes to your medical history, health status, or personal activities that may be relevant to your treatment.
