BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
Discontinue products containing Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinol (Retin-A, Tretinoin, Vitamin A) 7 days before treatment. Stop using AHAs/BHAs (Alpha-Hydroxy & Salicylic Acid) 5 days prior and Hydroquinone 3 days prior.
Ensure your skin is not irritated, peeling, or infected (e.g., cold sores or bacterial infections) before treatment. If you have a history of cold sores, inform your provider as medication may be recommended.
Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) for at least 14 days before treatment. Do not apply sunless tanning products to the treatment area.
If you’ve taken Accutane (isotretinoin) in the past year, this treatment is not recommended.

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Handle the treated area gently—no scratching or picking!
Avoid until sensitivity subsides:
-Scented lotions/soaps, exfoliants (Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs), acne products, loofahs, scrubbing
-Hot/cold water—use lukewarm only
-Shaving, pools/spas with chlorine, excessive sweating
-Alcohol for 48 hours
-If in a treatment series: Avoid sun exposure between sessions; wear daily sunscreen.
For comfort: Use a cool compress (or Confidence Cooler) if needed, especially within the first 12 hours.
Normal reactions: Redness, swelling, and mild sunburn-like sensation may last hours to days. Cool compresses help reduce swelling.

DAY OF TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Cold Sores: If you have a history of facial cold sores, please inform us prior to your appointment. The laser treatment could potentially trigger an outbreak. Antiviral medication can be prescribed to prevent this.
Meal Preparation: Ensure you have a solid meal, including food and drink, before your treatment. This helps prevent lightheadedness during the procedure.
Clean Face: Arrive at the office with a clean, makeup-free face. Avoid wearing tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, or any products that may interfere with the procedure.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: This treatment cannot be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Medical Updates: Notify The Confidence Bar staff of any changes to your medical history, recent vaccinations, or health status. Additionally, share any personal or lifestyle factors that may be relevant to your treatment.
Post-Treatment Protection: Bring a wide-brim hat to protect your skin from sun exposure immediately after your sessio
