There are so many amazing, talented people at The Confidence Bar. In our new "Meet the Confidence Booster" series, you'll get to know more about each practitioner and staff member - and the unique skills they bring to our practice.

How did you get your start in Aesthetics?
I transitioned from infusion therapy to aesthetics during the peak of COVID. Unlike many nurse practitioners, I was actually placed on reduced hours —our clinic wasn't as busy because patients were too afraid to come in.
As things slowly began to open back up, my very first appointment was with my aesthetic provider. I left that visit feeling so refreshed-the confidence boost from just one treatment was incredible. I had always been interested in aesthetics, but my schedule had never allowed for it. With my newfound free time, I decided to jump in. I signed up for my first aesthetics course that same day.
What drew you to The Confidence Bar?
I met Rana at an aesthetic nursing conference in Atlanta, and she was so warm and kind right from the start. She invited me to check out her space at The Confidence Bar once we were back home in Chicago. When I visited, we had a really honest conversation about working in aesthetics. She told me to go gain more hands-on experience and come back and work at The Confidence Bar-and that's exactly what I did.
Share a patient story that had an impact on how you approach patient care.
I'll never forget one of my early patients in aesthetics —she came in for something simple, just wanting a little pick-me-up before a big event. As we chatted, she opened up about how she'd been going through a tough time and just didn't feel like herself anymore. After the treatment, she looked in the mirror and got emotional. She said, "I finally feel like me again." That really stuck with me. Ever since then, l've made it a point to slow down, really listen, and treat the whole person, not just the face in front of me.
What treatment is your favorite to see the before-and-after?
It may be cliche- but there is just something about lip rejuvenation! Love a juicy natural lip!
